Acceptance of terms
By entering and using the facilities of The Laundry Guys (“we,” “us,” or “our”) located in Kamloops, British Columbia, you (“customer” or “you”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from using our laundromat.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our facilities following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2.
Use of facilities
Customers must use all equipment, machines, and facilities in accordance with posted instructions. You agree to:
- Operate machines only as intended and per posted guidelines.
- Remain present or return promptly when a wash or dry cycle completes.
- Treat all equipment, furniture, and common areas with care.
- Supervise children at all times while on the premises.
- Respect other customers and staff.
The Laundry Guys reserves the right to refuse service or remove any individual from the premises for disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate behaviour.
3.
Payment & pricing
All prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD) and are subject to change without prior notice. Payment must be made before or at the time of service, using the accepted payment methods displayed in the facility (coin, card, or app, as applicable).
Refunds for machine malfunctions will be issued at the discretion of staff or management. Please report any issues promptly. We are not responsible for lost coins or payment tokens.
4.
Lost or damaged items
The Laundry Guys is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, clothing, or belongings left on the premises. Customers are strongly encouraged to:
- Never leave valuables unattended.
- Check pockets before placing items in machines.
- Follow all care label instructions on garments.
Any claims for damaged items must be submitted in writing to management within 48 hours of the incident, along with a receipt of that day’s service. We will review claims on a case-by-case basis but do not guarantee compensation.
5.
Abandoned laundry
Laundry left in machines or on folding tables beyond 30 minutes after a cycle ends may be moved by staff to make room for other customers. Items unclaimed after 24 hours will be considered abandoned and may be donated or disposed of. The Laundry Guys assumes no liability for abandoned items.
6.
Prohibited items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being washed or dried in our machines:
- Items contaminated with flammable materials, chemicals, solvents, or gasoline.
- Excessively soiled items that may damage machines or affect other customers’ laundry.
- Items containing hazardous materials or biohazards.
- Commercial quantities of laundry (unless pre-arranged with management).
Customers found violating this policy may be asked to leave and may be held liable for any resulting damage to equipment or other customers’ property.
7.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law in British Columbia, The Laundry Guys, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use of our facilities. Our total liability for any direct damages shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
8.
Health & safety
Customers are expected to follow all health and safety guidelines posted on-site, including those related to machine use and facility rules. The Laundry Guys reserves the right to update safety practices in response to applicable regulations from BC public health authorities.
Please report spills, machine issues, or safety concerns to staff immediately.
9.
Privacy
We may collect limited personal information (such as name and contact details) when you use loyalty programs, provide feedback, or contact us for support. This information is used solely for the purpose of providing and improving our services and is not sold to third parties. We comply with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia.
Security cameras may be in operation on the premises for the safety of customers and staff.
10.
Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia.
